FIVE audits commissioned by the Education Facilities Company Ltd (EFCL) cost in excess of $3 million.
EFCL, under its former chairman Arnold Piggott, had retained the services of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in September 2016 to conduct audits into the operations of the State enterprise.
The findings, PwC sources say, were presented to the EFCL board.
PwC sources say the audits included Forensic Investigation/Diagnostic into Finance Function/ Accounts Payable Validation for which $2,513,206.69 was paid; an investigation into the tendering on Five Rivers Secondary â $229,141.41; Human Resource Audit â $211,312.50; Internal Audit Risk Assessment â $28,054.69; and a Procurement Function Diagnostic which cost $229,141.41.
The audits had a combined total of $3,065,584.04.
